The 6th Annual Great 5K Pumpkin Run / 1M Family Trot and Pumpkin Patch
Supporting the Open Arms Shelter for abused and neglected kids in Arkansas
September 24th, 2016 at the Historic Lonoke Depot (102 W. Front St.)
5K Pumpkin Run at 8:00am (chipped) Race-day registration at 7:00am.
1M Family Trot at 9:30am.
Give your support to the abused and neglected children at Open Arms Shelter. Run the 5K that begins at the historic Lonoke Train Depot, winding its way by the City Park and through beautiful small-town neighborhoods. Known for its flat as a pancake course, the chipped 5K Pumpkin Run is made for setting a personal record. Add to the excitement by wearing an optional yellow flag on your waist. Snoopy and Woodstock lurk throughout the course waiting to steal your flag. Return back to the Depot to drinks and recovery snacks. Cheer on the winners at the awards ceremony led by Matt Mosler and the live band New Horizon. A $100 purse goes to the overall male and female winners.
Bring the family to the Family Trot and Pumpkin Patch where you can buy all your fall pumpkins in different colors, shapes and sizes, along with gourds, mums, straw bales and corn stalks. And the kids will enjoy the little pumpkin house, hay hill, bouncy house and corn treasure box. Don’t miss the 1 Mile Family Trot where every child is a winner and gets a mini pumpkin and medal. Can’t be there or don’t want to race…be a Spirit Runner and get a t-shirt in support of the shelter.
